Dr. Darren Wrede is a native Midwesterner who came to Florida several years ago to pursue his passion for orthopedic anesthesiology. He is board certified by the American Society of Anesthesiology and has extensive training in the latest techniques for providing safe and effective anesthesia to outpatient orthopedic patients.
Dr. Wrede is from Kansas City, MO and graduated from Iowa State University before going on to earn his medical degree from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Here he graduated with honors. He completed his anesthesiology internship and residency at St Louis University Hospital and served as Chief Resident of the Department of Anesthesiology his final year.
At the completion of his residency, Dr. Wrede worked as a general anesthesiologist before discovering his passion for orthopedic anesthesiology. He has attended many clinics and conferences emphasizing the latest techniques and procedures for orthopedic anesthesiology. Dr Wrede is certified in BLS, ACLS, and ATLS as well as board certified by the American Society of Anesthesiology. He prides himself on being able to tailor his anesthetic to both patient preference and level of health and believes that patient understanding and comfort are paramount.
