Bio
Dr. John Constantino, DPM AACFAS is a skilled foot and ankle surgeon with a strong background in elective reconstructive surgery, sports medicine and trauma. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University – Hawaii majoring in Biology. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree at Des Moines University. He then went on to complete his residency in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Credentialing at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA, where he was appointed a Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
He furthered his training by completing the Innovative Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship with Alexander Orthopaedic Associates, an ACFAS-accredited fellowship program. During his fellowship, he focused on advanced surgical techniques including 3D printed custom implants, arthroscopy, complex trauma and total ankle replacements.
Additionally, Dr. Constantino has a passion for research resulting in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and national lectures. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he is an active member of several health professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the Florida Foot and Ankle Fellowship Society.
Originally born and raised in Manila, Philippines, he currently resides in St. Petersburg, FL with his wife and 3 children. Dr. Constantino is an avid tennis and pickleball player, but also enjoys golf, playing music and serving in his church. His goal is to provide a safe and collaborative environment for his patients to deliver the highest quality of care.
Dr. Constantino is Forefoot and Rearfoot Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
