Dr. Jonathan Dattilo is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee joint replacement surgery (arthroplasty). He has special surgical expertise in minimally-invasive surgery, anterior total hip replacement, computer navigation, and outpatient (same-day) surgery. In fact, Dr. Dattilo was recently named by Becker's Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC) Review as one of the 10 Total Joint ASC Physicians to Know.

Dr. Dattilo has also completed advanced sub-specialty training in complex hip and knee disorders and revision (re-do) hip and knee replacements.

Additionally, Dr. Dattilo has a strong academic background having trained at some of the top institutions, including medical school at Johns Hopkins, residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and finally an additional year of advanced hip and knee reconstruction at the world-renowned Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute.

As a result, Dr. Dattilo continues to collaborate on research projects with fellow experts in joint replacement surgery across the country. He has authored over 45 publications including 20 surgical technique videos, published multiple textbook chapters, and routinely presents at national and international conferences.

His specific research interests include advanced pain protocols to minimize addictive narcotics after surgery, patient education, social media in orthopedics, and emerging technologies in joint replacement surgery. Most recently, he is helping to develop a virtual reality program to teach surgeons and trainees across the country how to perform minimally-invasive anterior hip replacement surgery.

Dr. Dattilo feels strongly that these efforts are not only important to train the next generation of surgeons, but moreover that by collaborating in research, he can deliver the most cutting-edge care to his patients.
